Black quarter leather with dark brown cloth. 470, 380 pp. Black and white illustrated plates at the front of each issue, with many containing a color fashion plate as well, although it appears 4 or 5 months do not have them. Unsure if as issued, or if those months are missing the plates. A bound volume of this work devoted to literature and historical essays and commentary, including poetry by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, among others. With articles on trout and trout fishing, as well as moose and moose hunting, by Henry William Herbert. GOOD condition. Moderate fading and minor to moderate uneven scuffing to the covers. Extremities and hinges rather scuffed and worn. Minor soiling and staining. Moderate scattered foxing, spotting and staining throughout. One color fashion plate almost detached from the binding, with chipping and tearing along its fore edge.

Purple cloth in unclipped jacket. Folio. Unpaginated. Color illustrations throughout. A facsimile reproduction of an album of fashion designs, designed, sketched and colored by Lucile, or Lady Duff Gordon. Originally done in 1905, this work helps to illustrate Gordon's work in fashion, and is preceded and followed by critical and historical commentary on her fashion work. Lucile was an important figure in fashion in the early 1900s, having fashion houses in London, Paris and New York, and employing the use of models and a catwalk to promote her much sought after styles. VERY GOOD+ condition. Minor bumping and edgewear to the covers. Owner's initials on the first endpaper.

One page is a duplicate. With short advertising copy on Lanz on the inside front cover. A small work devoted to various women's fashion from Lanz Fifth Avenue, New York. Lanz Clothing originated in 1922 in Salzburg, Austria, producing ethnic German style clothing and costumes, eventually establishing a company in the United States that carried other modern fashions as well. VERY GOOD condition. Minor wrinkling and toning to the piece.

Two large poster sheets, folded, with a newsprint booklet laid in. Largest poster measures approximately 19 by 24 inches, printed in a few colors and is double sided. This poster advertises Vogue patterns for use at Needle Magic for Club Women meetings, discussing how to organize and conduct meetings, with the reverse advertising the versatility and styles of Vogue patterns. The smaller poster, printed on one side only, measures 17 by 22 inches and bears illustrations of various pattern styles and numbers. The newsprint booklet discusses fashion ideas and styles for various body types. All in GOOD+ or slightly better condition. Minor to moderate creasing to the pieces, especially at the corners. Minor toning and a hint of soiling.

A descriptive catalog of fashions and clothing for women, misses and children, depicting dresses, hats, bathing suits and other items of clothing, accompanied by detailed descriptions of the item. With pattern numbers for ordering the piece desired. Also present is a two page section devoted to knitting and patterns, and another devoted to crochet. Other sections provide tatting instructions, with another section outlines proper social codes, and a further one discussing Canadian colleges.FAIR/GOOD condition. Heavy chipping, tearing and loss to the wrapper along the spine. General fading, with minor soiling and minor to moderate scattered spots of staining, mostly to the rear covers. Minor curling and creasing along the extremities. Paper browned in the interior. Page 113 wrinkled, creased and torn at its lower corner.

GOOD condition. Old tape repairs along both covers' fore edges, repairing, tears, creases and chips. Tape repair to the spine. Moderate creasing, soiling and general browning, with a few small scattered stains. Minor offsetting in the interior.

A single issue of this magazine, featuring an article, with photos, on Martin Munkacsi, the noted Hungarian born photographer known for his sports and fashion photography, including several innovations in outdoor action photos. Also present are three short stories by the Irish author Frank O'Connor: 'The Bridal Night,' 'Don Juan's Temptation,' and 'Legal Aid.' With a column on folk music by Burl Ives and an article on Buckminster Fuller. Gentry was a somewhat short lived general interest magazine for men, focusing on fashion and culture, and notably including fabric swatches, tipped in color illustrations, etc. GOOD condition. Covers creased, scuffed and soiled, with uneven darkening and fading. Some wear along the extremities. Interior clean and solid.
