No publisher, place or date. Pamphlet. A nine page article apparently disbound from a larger journal. Pagination runs 129-138, with several pages after containing the portions of a different article. This article relates to the history of a watch in the author's family, an English double cased gold watch from circa 1751. This includes a retracing of the author's steps in research, a discussion of the watch's most likely maker, John Ellicott, and a description of the watch. With a small illustration of the watch and a portrait of the maker. GOOD+ condition. Small note in pencil at the top of the first page pertaining to the origin of this artice. Small pencil line in the lower left margin of the first page. Minor toning and edgewear.

A guide to clock repair and maintenance, from antique to modern clocks, with chapters on the gear train, escapement, pendulum and balance wheel, motion and calendar work, alarms, etc. GOOD condition. Faint dampstaining along the upper rear jacket and extremities. Minor soiling and scuffing to the jacket. Uneven fading, a bit heavier along the edges and spine. Price inked out on the upper inside flap. Book faded, with some bumping along the edges. Previous owner's large gift inscription present.
