In GOOD/VERY GOOD condition with minor soiling and minor to moderate darkening to the wraps, heavy along the spine. The number 19 in pencil on the front cover. Some bumping, chipping and small tears along the extremities of the wraps. Interior clean and solid.

Original Wraps. Good ISBN: noisbn. A single issue of this literary magazine including correspondence by Ernest Hemingway, poetry by T.S. Eliot and Marianne Moore, 'The Tomb of Lenin,' by e.e. cummings, providing excerpts from his diary kept on a visit to Russia, etc. Two film stills from a film by Rene Clair also present. In GOOD condition. Minor to moderate soiling to the covers. Uneven darkening, heavy to the spine. Some bumping, chipping and small tears along the extremities of the wraps, with heavier chips to the head and tail of the spine, and a chip to the upper rear edge. Interior clean and solid.

Printed wraps. Pagination runs 213-300 plus ads. LACKING most illustrations throughout. A single issue of this noted literary magazine, featuring the first part of 'Death in Venice' by Thomas Mann, as well as work by Bertrand Russell, George Santayana and others. This is the first English language appearance of Mann's story. With art by e.e. cummings (A drawing of Charlie Chaplin) and Jack B. Yeats (Irish Life). All other art called for in the magazine MISSING, cut out by a former owner. POOR condition. Rear wrapper DETACHED but present. Lacking the aforementioned art. Minor soiling, scuffing, staining and creasing to the wraps, a bit heavier to the rear. Minor chipping and and tearing along the extremities. Pencil check mark to the upper front cover. Text block solid with minor toning.

Photo illustrated wraps, with a front cover photo by Man Ray. Folio. Pagination runs 43-66. With reproductions of a few paintings throughout. A single issue of this magazine devoted to art and literature, featuring eight poems by e.e. cummings, as well as the first appearance in print of poetry by Phillip Lamantia. Then 15 years old, Lamantia would go on to be an early member of both the San Francisco Renaissance and Beat movements, influencing many writers with his use of Surrealism. Also of note is the front cover photo, done by Man Ray. GOOD+ condition. Minor to moderate soiling and scuffing to the rear covers, with lighter wear to the front. General minor fading and toning. Light scuffing along the extremities with some creasing at the spine. Interior clean and solid.

Wrappers toned, with minor to moderate scattered foxing, heavier along the spine and rear cover. Staining present along the staples. Minor soiling and edgewear.
