Black half-leather with black pebbled cloth. 764 pp. A bound volume of this literary journal, covering January to June of 1876. With 'The Facts Concerning the Recent Carnival of Crime in Connecticut,' and 'A Literary Nightmare,' by Mark Twain; 'I, The American,' by Henry James; a poem 'Boston,' by Ralph Waldo Emerson, as well as work by John G. Whittier, Celia Thaxter and others. GOOD+ condition. Minor to moderate scuffing to the leather, mostly along the hinges. Light scuffing and fading to the cloth. Minor soiling, with a small area of staining at the lower front cover. Interior clean and solid with minor toning to the paper.
