1 Wells, H.G.; Eliot, T.S.; Greene, Graham; Priestley, J.B.; Orwell, George et al. . Horizon. A Review of Literature and Art. March, 1941. Vol. III, No. 15
London Horizon, Publishers 1941 no Wraps Good
Printed wraps. Pagination runs 159-224. With illustrations by Henry Moore. A single issue of this magazine containing essays, reviews and poetry, including work by H.G. Wells, Graham Greene, and George Orwell. Of note is a letter by T.S. Eliot, 'A Message to the Fish,' regarding the death of James Joyce and an obituary notice in the Times of London. Eliot takes to task the Times, chastizing them for their obbituary which seemed to diminish the importance of James Joyce in the world of literature. GOOD condition. Heavy darkening along the wrapper extremities and spine, with minor to moderate scattered spotting and soiling to the covers. Minor scuffing and bumping along the extremities. Small chip missing from the head of the spine. Interior solid with faint, but moderate, staining to the T.S. Eliot letter.
