Portsmouth, New Hampshire, U.S.A. Frank W. Miller and Co., Publisher 1869 no Original Wraps Good 
Newspaper format. 8pp. With articles on local events, farming, and a few brief lines of national news. Notable for the appearance of Alcott's piece. In GOOD condition with moderate uneven browning to the paper. Newspaper splitting along the folding edge. Newspaper folded in quarters, with associated creases present. A few minor dark spots present, with two minor 1 inch dampstains affecting the margins. Minor wear along the extremities.

Illustrated wraps. Pagination runs 587-664, plus ads. Black and white illustrations throughout. A single issue of this magazine for a juvenile audience, featuring 'The Banner of Beaumanoir,' the sixth Spinning Wheel story by Louisa May Alcott; "The Brownies' Voyage" written and illustrated by Palmer Cox, etc. GOOD condition. Front wrapper torn, chipped and creased along the bottom hinge. Moderate to heavy chipping and small tears along the extremities. Minor soiling and general toning. Pen squiggle to the lower front cover. Partial address label also present.

New York Scribner and Co 1876 no Wraps Good 
Illustrated wraps, printed in red and black. Pagination runs 273-344. With black and white illustrations. A single issue of this long running magazine for juveniles, with this number containing a piece by Louisa May Alcott, 'Helping Along,' the first piece in a series titled 'Talks with Girls,' being a moral tale combining a short parable with commentary. Also in this issue is a poem by John Greenleaf Whittier, an article on how to make snowshoes, etc. GOOD+ condition. Mostly minor uneven browning to the wraps. Minor soiling. Some scuffing, bumping, minor creasing and a few small tears along the extremities. Interior clean and solid with an old white tape repair to the bottom edge of the inside front cover.
