Hard cover. Lacking jacket. First edition, first issue, with Piccadilly on page 268, an errata slip tipped in, and no index present. 355 pages. With illustrations, including a color frontis. Many illustrations reproduce the title pages of first editions of various important works(William Blake's Songs of Innocence, for example), or reproduce notable author inscriptions. A classic work on book collecting by this noted collector. In GOOD+ condition. Minor soiling, most noticeable along the fore edge. Uneven fading and minor scuffing. Spine sun darkened. Book corners scuffed and somewhat worn. Minor toning to the endpapers. Interior clean and solid with minor darkening.
