Illustrated wraps. 36 pp. A single issue of this magazine issued by the Kent State University Libraries, with this issue primarily devoted to the life and work of Cleveland poet d.a. levy. This includes a poem 'the bells of the Cherokee ponies,' by levy; essays on the work of levy by Eric Mottram, Gary Snyder and Charles Bukowski, among others, and checklist of writings of d.a. levy. Also included are a few poems on levy, as well as a few short articles on early dust jackets or wrappers, and list of 'rare or seldom-seen dust jackets of American first editions.' D.a. levy was a poet from Cleveland, Ohio, noted for his small press publishing and innovative poetics, as well as his publishing of many then underground voices. Levy was charged with violating obscenity charges in Cleveland in 1967 and arrested. Charges were eventually dropped, with levy committing suicide in 1968. GOOD condition. Moderate uneven fading and some browning to the wraps, mostly along the extremities. Small stain to the lower rear cover. Faint dampstain along the upper front cover. Interior clean and solid.
